Florida asks justices to OK social media censorship law

Florida and its foes – industry groups representing companies including Meta Platforms Inc., Alphabet Inc.-owned YouTube and Twitter Inc. – are fighting over laws passed in Florida as well as Texas.

The state of Florida filed a petition asking the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse an 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision that blocked its law aimed at censorship by Silicon Valley social media companies.
