Professor misconduct case remains in complex court

Several women allege that professor David Iyam engaged in sexual misconduct throughout his 17-year tenure at Whittier College.

A lawsuit alleging Whittier College covered up a professor’s sexual misconduct for 17 years will stay in complex civil court, at least for now, a Los Angeles County judge said Monday.

Charles C. McKenna of FitzGerald Kreditor Bolduc Risbrough LLP spoke on behalf of Whittier College, and argued that for the sake of judicial economy, the case should go to an independent calendar.
