Renters’ advocates sue Santa Clara County over zoning

The lawsuit filed by the California Renters Legal Advocacy and Education Fund takes aim at rezoning regulations that the plaintiffs claim hinder the development of affordable housing in the Upper San Juan neighborhood near Stanford University.

A renters advocacy group sued Santa Clara County over zoning regulations that the plaintiffs claim violate the state’s Housing Crisis Act after recently settling a similar matter against the City of Huntington Beach.
