Jury is out on ex-FBI agent accused of taking bribes

“The defendant exploited his position as an FBI agent for his own personal profit and that’s what the evidence has shown,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael J. Morse told the 14 jurors during the government’s closing argument on Friday.

The jury is out in the trial of a former FBI agent facing six counts of bribery and money laundering for allegedly accepting thousands of dollars and other extravagant gifts as bribes from a convicted Beverly Hills attorney who recently confessed that he never took the bar exam.
