PG&E victims settle with executives for $117M
“These funds will be used to satisfy the vast majority of outstanding fire victim claims held by certain federal agencies that assisted in battling the fires and providing assistance to victims,” stated Frank M. The PG&E Fire Victims Trust reached a $117 million settlement with PG&E executives to settle claims against the energy company and its officers alleging gross negligence and a failure to prevent three fires that ravaged Northern California; 2015’s Butte Fire, 2017’s North Bay fire, and 2018’s Camp Fire.
