State Bar asks court to enforce subpoenas in Girardi probe
“The investigation is intended to identify actions by anyone with ties to the State Bar that may constitute malfeasance in how discipline complaints against Girardi were handled,” bar spokesman Rick Coca said.




Halpern May Ybarra Gelberg LLP, which is handling the State Bar’s investigation into its own past conduct related to disbarred attorney Thomas V. Girardi, has subpoenaed several attorneys who previously lodged complaints with the bar against Girardi. But two have refused to comply.
Now the State Bar has filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court to enforce those subpoenas.
