20-year Canadian car conspiracy case settles for $82M
“Following 20 years of litigation, the settlement [came] on the eve of trial after a long and hard-fought litigation that involved demurrers, extensive fact and expert discovery, class certification, and multiple rounds of complex summary judgment briefing, as well as two separate remands from the California Court of Appeal,” counsel for the plaintiffs — Joseph J. Tabacco, Jr., Todd A. Seaver, Matthew D. Pearson of Berman Tabacco — wrote in a motion.
