Intel asks 9th Circuit to reinstate antitrust suit against Fortress
U.S. District Judge Edward M. Chen of San Francisco ruled last year that Intel “failed to allege that supracompetitive pricing was a result of the patent aggregation.”




Lawyers for Intel Corp. on Tuesday urged a federal appeals panel to reverse a trial court’s dismissal of an antitrust complaint against Fortress Investment Group, which the technology company claims has aggregated old patents so it could charge excessive licensing fees or sue companies for infringement.
