$550M Monsanto deal with 2,500 cities over PCBs ready for OK

Mark D. Anstoetter and Brent Dwerlkotte of Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP, lead counsel for Monsanto, notified the court that Monsanto would not oppose the settlement though the company “vigorously denies these allegations.”

A federal judge in Los Angeles will decide Thursday whether to approve a $550 million settlement between Monsanto Co. and a class of more than 2,500 cities throughout the nation that claim the company contaminated their storm-water systems with PCBs.
