Blue ribbon bar commission delays decision on non-exam paths

Three motions that were proposed did not pass, including recommendations to the Supreme Court that it adopt an alternative pathway to licensure, that the bar create an alternate exam, or that it be revisited in the future.

The Blue Ribbon Commission on the Future of the State Bar Exam did not come to a consensus on what plan of action regarding non-exam pathways to licensure or alternative exams to recommend to the Supreme Court, including not deciding if it wanted to recommend any of the non-exam pathway options that it had discussed at its July meeting.
