LA school district settles suit over coach’s sex assaults for $52M

“I believe the settlement was the right amount at the right time for these kids,” said Morgan A. Stewart, who represented the plaintiffs and announced the settlement on Wednesday. “They deserve to move on with their lives.”

The Los Angeles Unified School District and a chapter of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America agreed to pay $52 million to settle claims brought by boys and girls who were sexually assaulted by their wrestling coach.
