CJP urged to ignore special master’s ruling for OC judge
Superior Court Judge Michael F. Murray is accused of failing to inquire about or pass on information about a murder case he successfully prosecuted in 2008 and then handled briefly again after the case was remanded for a retrial in 2013.




A lawyer for the California’s judicial watchdog agency urged the full Commission on Judicial Performance to reject the recommendation of three special masters that Orange County Superior Court Judge Michael F. Murray should not be disciplined for allegedly ignoring exculpatory evidence in a murder case he prosecuted years ago as a deputy district attorney.
