Suit over album cover ‘insults’ hard work, Cardi B testifies

Newport Beach surf enthusiast Kevin Michael Brophy Jr. claims rapper copied his tattoo for her first album cover.

A Newport Beach surf enthusiast told a federal jury in Santa Ana Wednesday that he felt cheapened and robbed by hip-hop artist Cardi B, who he is accusing of misappropriating his intricate back tattoo on the cover of her raunchy debut album cover, but Cardi B testified that she feels offended to see a man try to take credit for her rise to stardom.
