Autistic twins allegedly abused by school aide get $45M
“District administrators failed the twins by allowing them to be abused for months despite clear warnings they were being harmed,” plaintiffs’ attorney David W. German said. “Even now, they refuse to acknowledge the extent of the harm their employee caused. Fortunately, the jury saw through their continued attempt to cover-up what occurred.”




A Los Angeles County jury awarded $45 million to twin autistic students of Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District who the jury unanimously found were abused with corporal punishment by a behavioral aid.
This failure compounded “the long term psychological and behavioral injuries suffered by the students,” according to the plaintiffs’ attorney David W. German of Vanaman German LLP.
