Substance abuse, poor health led to player’s death, NCAA contends
While the NCAA believes that Matthew Gee’s death certificate speaks for itself, his widow, Alana Gee, disagrees. She sent tissue matter from his brain to chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) researchers at Boston University, where Matthew Gee was posthumously diagnosed with the disease.
