LA County registrar must justify limits on DA recall campaign’s signature review
In a lawsuit, the committee to recall District Attorney George Gascón challenged the conclusion by Dean C. Logan, the registrar-recorder/county clerk, that the campaign failed to gather enough valid signatures to get the question on the November ballot.




A Los Angeles County judge on Tuesday ordered the county registrar-recorder to explain why it shouldn’t have to remove restrictions on the Committee to Support the Recall of District Attorney George Gascón, which is attempting to review a failed recall signature campaign.
Superior Court Judge James C. Chalfant laid out a briefing schedule and set a hearing on the order to show cause for Dec. 6.
