Avenatti calls 18-year prison recommendation ''vindictive, personal'
In his response to the government’s opposition to his sentencing memorandum, in which he wrote that three years in prison and three years of supervised release was a fair punishment for his crimes, the convicted attorney argued that 18 years behind bars is inconsistent with the law.
