Judge may let assault, negligence charges against Baldwin remain in script supervisor's suit
Judge Michael E. Whitaker said Tuesday he would further consider a tentative ruling as to the accusations brought by Carlos A. Hernandez of Carpenter & Zuckerman of Beverly Hills on behalf of Mamie Mitchell. The plaintiff said she was standing next to cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was shot to death when Baldwin fired a gun during rehearsal, loaded with a live bullet that should not have been on the set.




A Los Angeles Superior Court judge is considering assault and negligence charges against actor Alec Baldwin for last year’s deadly shooting accident on the set of his film “Rust,” but indicated he will toss a battery charge brought by a script supervisor who said she was traumatized and harmed though she was not hit by the bullet.
