State Bar received 205 complaints about Girardi over 40 years
The agency released the files in response to a lawsuit filed by the Los Angeles Times. The newspaper’s lawyer said the bar must release more details about each case.
For nearly four decades, clients of star plaintiffs’ attorney Thomas V. Girardi filed complaint after complaint with the State Bar of California alleging he misappropriated settlement money, failed to perform, abandoned them, and made misrepresentations to courts, among other allegations.
