Lawsuit claims 2 lawyers helped competitors smuggle assets
“Just three days before Orion could execute on the judgment, Ningbo Sunny’s co-conspirator and largest customer, Celestron, paid Ningbo Sunny $4.2 million for invoices that were not yet due,” the complaint alleges.




A telescope manufacturer has accused two attorneys of assisting its competitors in smuggling $4.2 million in assets to China to avoid paying a settlement on a previous antitrust judgment.
Orion Telescopes, the plaintiff in the lawsuit filed Tuesday, previously won a judgment against competitors Ningbo Sunny and Synta for what Orion's attorney, Matthew Borden, called "a variety of antitrust activities."
