San Francisco DA claims victory, 2 other races not final
San Francisco County incumbent District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, appointed by Mayor London Breed to replace recalled Chesa Boudin in July, tweeted her victory over former police commissioner John Hamasaki, when results showed she had 56% of the vote. Hamasaki objected to what he considered a premature victory claim.




Voters in San Francisco and Alameda counties appeared to be opting for district attorney candidates with tougher stances on crime against candidates seen as more progressive, according to unofficial results Wednesday after all precincts had reported.
A race in Imperial County between a deputy D.A. and a former prosecutor was too close to call as was the Alameda County race.
