A magistrate judge in Baltimore on Thursday ordered Christopher K. Kamon, the former chief financial officer of now-defunct plaintiffs’ firm Girardi Keese, detained and remanded to Los Angeles to face a federal wire fraud charge.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew J. Maddox rejected arguments by Kamon’s attorney, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates partner Jessie K. Liu, that her client was not a flight risk.
