Circuit hears Apple monopoly case

The appeal has drawn a host of amicus curiae briefs, and the federal and state departments of justice have gotten permission to argue to the panel in support of Epic Games. Other states' attorneys general filed a separate amicus brief against the Cupertino-based technology giant.

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel will consider on Monday Epic Games' appeal of an Oakland judge's ruling that Apple Inc. was not a monopolist in its dealings with the game developer.
