Motions filed to postpone Tesla autopilot crash criminal trial

The manslaughter charges against driver Kevin George Aziz Riad was to be the first to go before a jury in the case of an autopilot car crashing while in commercial use. The driver was working at the time.

The anticipated start of a bellwether criminal trial involving the deadly crash of a Tesla while on automatic pilot will likely be postponed instead of beginning Tuesday, after both the Los Angeles County district attorney's office and the defense filed motions for continuance.
