Senate Democrats expected to quickly fill judicial vacancies

"I expect Democrats to push through as many judges as quickly as they can while they have the majority," said Arthur D. Hellman, professor emeritus at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. "You can never tell whenever death, disease or disgrace will take away the Democratic majority and make the process more difficult or impossible."

Democrats are expected to push aggressively to fill judicial vacancies after holding narrow control of the U.S. Senate, though some of President Joe Biden's nominees may not get votes until next year.
