Los Angeles County didn't follow rules on pre-employment psych evaluations

Superior Court Judge Barbara M. Scheper’s Nov. 4 ruling on summary adjudication rested on what she found to be the county’s failure to participate in legally required accommodation discussions.

A superior court judge ruled in favor of two plaintiffs who sued L.A. County after failing pre-employment psychological evaluations for jobs working with children, denying the county’s bid for summary judgment and granting summary adjudication for the complainants.

If the ruling stands it could lead to more lawsuits over the policy.
