Berkeley law says it will no longer participate in rankings
Other top law schools in California said they, too, were reevaluating their participation in the rankings, which have been despised for years by education leaders but also carefully tended to because they are closely watched by students and parents deciding which institutions to attend.





UC Berkeley School of Law said Thursday that it will no longer participate in the U.S. News & World Report rankings of top institutions, following similar decisions announced Wednesday by the law schools at Yale and Harvard.
