Doubt raised whether new DOJ probe would matter to Ticketmaster

“Anytime a company is suddenly under the microscope, maybe they’ll make some changes on the edges but [TicketMaster’s] business model is built on having the dominance that they have and I don’t see them giving up on that very easily without a fight,” said Joseph J. Tabacco Jr. of Berman Tabacco.

Several antitrust experts say they are dubious that the reported government investigation into Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. and its parent company Live Nation Entertainment Inc. would result in forced changes to the companies.

“I don’t see Ticketmaster changing the way they do business as a result,” Joseph J. Tabacco Jr. of Berman Tabacco said in an interview Friday.
