Bankruptcy counsel fires back at Girardi’s wife over earings sale

“Despite a lengthy opportunity to do so, appellant never conducted discovery to support her bare claims,” Larry W. Gabriel said, calling Borges’ brief “an unwarranted direct attack on the reputations of the trustee and her counsel.”

The special litigation counsel for the Girardi Keese bankruptcy estate has fired back against Erika Girardi’s lawyer, asking U.S. District Judge Dale S. Fischer to strike her reply brief in an appeal seeking to block the auction of $750,000 earrings.
