Avenatti uses ‘she’s worse than me’ in plea for lighter sentence
Michael Avenatti attached a chart to his letter to the court, comparing himself to Elizabeth Holmes, with one column listing characteristics of the former Theranos executive’s crimes. These included refusal to accept responsibility, causing harm to more than 10 victims, identifying as an “organizer or leader” in the scheme for which she was charged. A second column under Avenatti’s name listed a simple “no” for each of these items, while a footnote beneath the chart listed the loss amount from Avenatti’s crimes as less than 1/100th of the loss in the Holmes case.




He’s not as bad as Elizabeth Holmes and she got only 11 years — was the basis of suspended attorney Michael Avenatti’s argument against the probation department and government recommendations of 15.6 to 22 years in prison for his admitted wire and tax fraud.
