Lawyers deny Girardi influence over California federal judges
“The point is not that any federal judge in the Central District of California would have any actual bias in this case; it’s a matter of public perception regarding the handling of matters related to Girardi in Southern California. Girardi’s claims of influence are both well-publicized and, unfortunately, entirely credible in some instances,” wrote J. Eli Wade-Scott of Edelson PC.




Attorneys defended the honor of Los Angeles federal judges, arguing in a brief that a suggestion by a Chicago law firm that disbarred lawyer Thomas V. Girardi’s boasts of his influence with the judiciary should be disregarded.
