LA County must give DA recall more access, judge rules

Superior Court Judge James C. Chalfant granted the Committee to Support the Recall of District Attorney George Gascón access to review on-file signatures of voters whose signatures on the petitions were denied due to what Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean C. Logan’s team termed mismatches.

Members of a campaign to recall Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón won a partial preliminary injunction against the registrar-recorder Tuesday in a lawsuit claiming that he improperly invalidated signatures from a petition to put the measure on the November ballot.
