Asbestos case goes to jury as attorneys trade threats of a mistrial

In the complaint filed in February, plaintiffs Rita-Ann Chapman and Gary Chapman claimed that asbestos found in cosmetic products made by Avon contributed to the former contracting mesothelioma

Attorneys finished their closing arguments on Thursday in an asbestos personal injury lawsuit against major companies including Avon, Boeing, Pep Boys and Sephora. The lawsuit alleged that asbestos in consumer products and in the workplace of one plaintiff caused malignant mesothelioma of his wife.
