Central Coast hospitals pay $22.5M to resolve fraud claims
Dignity Health, which operates several facilities, will pay $13.5 million to the federal government and $1.5 million to the state. Twin Cities Community Hospital and Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, operating in San Luis Obispo County, have agreed to pay $6.75 million to the U.S. and $750,000 to the state government. The hospitals did not admit liability.




Three hospital systems on the central coast will pay $22.5 million to resolve allegations that they violated federal and California law by defrauding the Medicaid Adult Expansion program, announced the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles.
