AG won’t defend state gun law similar to Texas abortion law he’s against
Gov. Gavin Newsom is stepping in to try to defend SB 1327, a law he signed last summer that uses the same legal mechanism as the Texas law, allowing individuals to sue gunmakers — and their lawyers — in private rights of action.
