Sacramento County, ex-sheriff settle suit over ICE cooperation
Plaintiff Misael Echeveste alleged Sheriff Scott Jones’ department notified federal Immigration & Customs Enforcement about his pending release in 2018, allowing the agency to detain him for being in the country without legal status.
