Policies of underwriter defendants not wanted in securities lawsuit

The Honest Company, which was founded by Alba in 2011 with a mission to create safe and toxin-free formulas for its products, allegedly gave false and misleading information to its shareholders last year, said Glancy Prongay & Murray LLP senior counsel Charles H. Linehan in the complaint.

The lead plaintiff in a proposed securities class action against actress Jessica Alba’s baby and beauty product company no longer wants to compel disclosure of insurance policies against the underwriter defendants, according to a joint motion submitted Tuesday by attorneys at Labaton Sucharow LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP.
