State bid to stop referendum from delaying fast food worker law fails
Last week, a coalition of restaurants sued to block the implementation of a new law designed to improve the wages and working conditions of fast food employees. The plaintiffs say the California Department of Industrial Relations cannot enforce AB 257 while it is the subject of a pending referendum effort.
