Trial judge must reevaluate ruling on sober living homes

Tuesday’s ruling by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals does not necessarily mean Costa Mesa will fail once the case is sent back but it is a key victory for the operators of the homes.

In a victory for two organizations that operate sober living group homes in Costa Mesa, a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Tuesday reversed a district judge’s ruling granting summary judgment for the city.
