FTX investors sue in Oakland over access to their money
In addition to FTX founder Samuel Bankman-Fried, the prospective class action filed by Laurence D. King of Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer LLP in Oakland names two FTX co-founders, the CEO of fellow cryptocurrency trading firm Alameda Research and two accounting firms — Armanino LLP based in San Ramon; and Prager Metis CPAs LLC in New York — as co-defendants.




A proposed class action against Samuel Bankman-Fried — founder of cryptocurrency trading platform FTX Trading Ltd. — and a group of his cohorts was filed in federal court in Oakland by FTX users who complained that they are unable to access the funds deposited in their accounts after the scandal that led to his arrest in December.
