State Bar appoints first public trust liaison

In efforts to strengthen its public protection functions, the decision to select Enrique Zuniga was based on his dedication to public service and deep State Bar experience, the agency announced.

Rocked by allegations that it has failed to police high-profile attorneys, the State Bar on Monday said it had appointed its first public trust liaison.

Deputy Trial Counsel Enrique Zuniga was named to the position. He has worked in the bar’s Office of Chief Trial Counsel since 2012.
