Judge grants summary judgment in rival swim leagues case

“The Court acknowledges the record is replete with evidence of FINA’s concern about competition from ISL. But, so what?” U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley wrote.

A federal judge granted summary judgment on antitrust and other claims against Fédération Internationale de Natation, recently renamed World Aquatics, that were brought by professional swimmers and rival swimming league International Swimming League.

An attorney for the swimmers class said the “wrongly decided” ruling would be appealed.
