Tesla says Musk can’t get fair trial in San Francisco
The lawsuit by shareholders over CEO Elon Musk’s 2018 claim that he was going to be taking the electric automaker’s stock private should be moved to Texas because local media are unfairly reporting on him and his businesses, said a motion by Alex Spiro of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP.





Attorneys for Tesla Inc. are attempting to move a securities class action trial — stemming from CEO Elon Musk’s 2018 claim that he was going to be taking the electric automaker’s stock private — from San Francisco to federal court in Texas, claiming the local news media tainted the jury pool.
