The bankruptcy trustee for Girardi Keese filed two lawsuits against financial institutions it accuses of aiding and abetting the stealing of client funds and hiding of assets by the law firm.
Tuesday's lawsuits are among several that Elissa D. Miller filed in an effort to recover millions of dollars allegedly used to fund now-disbarred plaintiffs' attorney Thomas V. Girardi's lavish lifestyle.
