Girardi trustee seeks to claw back $50M from Amex
A complaint filed against American Express alleges that Girardi Keese systematically drained the firm of available cash by making fraudulent transfers to American Express accounts issued to Girardi, Girardi Keese employees and third parties, including his wife, Erika Girardi.
The bankruptcy trustee for Girardi Keese has filed more than 100 lawsuits against firms and financial institutions that did business with Thomas V. Girardi or his associates in an effort to recover millions of dollars she says were stolen from the law firm and its clients.
