Alec Baldwin’s closing statement

Ms. Gutierrez-Reed maintains that she doesn’t know how the weapon had live rounds in it and that she is not to blame for the death of Hayla Hutchins. If that were true, then where is the witness to testify that they saw Mr. Baldwin or someone else put bullets in the weapon?

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury. What happened on Oct. 21, 2021, was a horrible tragedy. The lives of the family of Hayla Hutchins are forever changed. Had the person that was responsible for ensuring the weapon involved was not loaded done her job, then this all would have been avoided. For some reason, the government is trying to hold Mr. Baldwin responsible for someone else’s errors.
