Knobbe Martens sues client for nonpayment

The intellectual property law firm did some patent application and preparation work for the business in 2014, and represented it in a trade secrets lawsuit against another cosmetics company four years later.

Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear LLP filed a breach of contract lawsuit Friday against a Phoenix cosmetic devices company. Aesthetics Biomedical Inc. was accused of failing to pay the firm more than $1.6 million in attorneys’ fees and other costs.
