Judge dismisses age discrimination suit against Amazon
Plaintiffs claimed Amazon’s quotas discriminated against older workers because the hourly quotas are so high they cause all sorts of injuries and other problems for warehouse workers and it is plausible to infer older workers are at higher risk of those harms.




A federal judge in Oakland dismissed with prejudice an age discrimination lawsuit against Amazon.com Inc., finding the workers’ filings were “insufficient to demonstrate that there is a significant age-based disparity” and did not specifically identify any policies that were discriminatory.
