2 nominees for federal courts in California move forward
The Senate Judiciary Committee backed Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Daniel J. Calabretta for a seat on the Eastern District of California court, as well as Araceli Martinez-Olguin, supervising attorney of the National Immigration Law Center, to fill a vacancy on the Northern District of California court.





Two California district court nominees were approved Thursday by the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, but President Joe Biden’s pick for the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals was temporarily blocked.
