Bay Area hit with lawsuit over increased housing regulations
“These new lawsuits build on our work to enforce housing element law in Southern California,” said Matthew Gelfand, counsel for Californians for Homeownership, who previously sued six Southern California cities over deadlines to outline plans for increased housing.





Santa Clara County and 11 Bay Area cities are the latest municipalities to be sued by pro-housing advocacy groups accusing them of missing state deadlines to include in their plans a new element to increase housing.
